Update December 16, 2000

A dynasty in the making? For the second year in a row, the CowHorn LongBoys are champions of the Tower Fantasy Football League. Neither the CowHorn LongBoys or Dynamic Duo had great weeks and the CowHorn LongBoys win a very close game 102 to 97. Dynamic Duo outscored the CowHorn LongBoys 44 to 5 at the quarterback position but it wasn't enough. In the other consolation games, the Penetrators defeated Lawson's Men (182 to 167) and the Muffruffers defeated Shag-adelic (136 to 74). In the toilet bowl, we had repeat winners. The Spice Boys won the high team honors with 145 points and Starr's Cigars won low team honors with 111 points. Starr's Cigars had 107 starting points but only 4 reserve points.

Update December 10, 2000

Dynamic Duo made a last second lineup change. Final rosters are posted.

Update December 9, 2000

Preliminary rosters are posted. Both teams in the finals made roster moves so I've updated that report as well as the receivables report.

Update December 5, 2000

In a couple of close battles, the CowHorn LongBoys won the rematch of division foes (143 to 117) over the Penetrators while Dynamic Duo makes it to the finals with a win over Lawson's Men (126 to 116). In what looked like a toilet bowl game, Shag-adelic beat the Muffruffers in the wild card consolation game 89 to 74. In the actual toilet bowl, it looks like The Masters wanted some revenge for my mistake last week. The won the winner's bracket in convincing fashion with 166 points, 46 more than second place. Starr's Cigars wanted no ties this week and barely won the loser's bracket with 88 points. Playoff brackets and receivables report are updated.

Update December 4, 2000

The stat file for Sunday wasn't ready before I left for work. I'll try to post the Sunday scoring tonight.

Update December 3, 2000

Looks like I made a mistake on the results of the toilet bowl. I was looking at week 12 scores not week 13. Fi Card Charlee was still bad in week thirteen but only bad enough to tie with Starr's Cigars with 109 points. They will split the weekly prize. High team actually went to the Spice Boys instead of The Masters. The Spice Boys had 128 points compared to 114 for The Masters. Sorry about the mix up. The receivables report has been updated accordingly.

Update November 30, 2000

I can finally report on the first week of the playoffs. In the wild card games, Dynamic Duo defeated The Muffruffers for the second week in a row 142 to 120 in a high scoring game. In the second game, The CowHorn LongBoys showed no mercy on Shag-adelic in a 120 to 78 victory. Shag-adelic must have thought they were in the toilet bowl already. This week division foes the CowHorn LongBoys and The Penetrators face off while the other two division champions, Lawson's Men and Dynamic Duo, fight it out to get to the championship game. In the toilet bowl, The Masters took high team honors with 195 points while Fi Card Charlee finally made being bad pay off winning the the loser's bracket with a total of 81 points. Final lineups for the second round of the playoffs are posted.

Update November 24, 2000

There were no changes to the preliminary lineups.

Update November 23, 2000

The Master took the high team honors the last week of the regular season with 195 points. Bevo's Revenge took high position (45 points) with the wide receiver trio of C. Carter 18, M. Harrison 2, and R. Smith 25. In one of the closest years yet, tiebreakers were needed to decide all but one playoff spot. Dynamic Duo won its showdown with The Muffruffers to win the North division and the two Central leaders both won which gave the division title to Lawson's Men. I have updated the playoff brackets report for the first round pairings. I've also update the receivables report for the end of season payoffs. Preliminary roster lineups for the first round of the playoffs are also posted. Good luck this week. Go Horns!

Update November 18, 2000

Preliminary lineups are posted as are updated roster moves and receivables.

Update November 14, 2000

Weekly prizes were won by playoff bound teams. The amazing thing is that it's the first weekly prize for both. The Muffruffers won high team honors with 172 points. The CowHorn LongBoys won high running back with 50 points (J. Anderson 24, R. Smith 26).  With one week to go, the playoff situation has firmed up. In the North, the showdown between The Muffruffers and Dynamic Duo will decide the division champion. The loser will get the wild card. No bye weeks for either team. In the Central, things aren't so clear cut. Lawson's Men owns the tiebreaker against Shag-adelic, Shag-adelic owns the tiebreaker against The Masters, and The Masters owns the tiebreaker against Lawson's Men. None of these teams play each other this week. In the South, The Penetrators have clinched the division title and the CowHorn LongBoys get the wild card.

Update November 13, 2000

Sunday scoring is posted.

Update November 12, 2000

Final lineups, roster moves, and receivables are updated.

Update November 9, 2000

Preliminary lineups are posted.

Update November 7, 2000

High team honors go to the Spice Boys with 142 points. 308 and Lawson's Men split the high QB/kicker honors with 46 points (Culpepper 30, del Greco 16). The first playoff spots have been secured. In the South, both the CowHorn LongBoys and The Penetrators won and clinched playoff spots. It looks like it will go to the wire to see who wins the division and a bye in the playoffs. In the Central, Lawson's Men can clinch with one more win while Shag-adelic is one game back and two others two games back. The North is wide open with five teams within two games of each other. Only Hook-n-Slice is eliminated.

Update November 6, 2000

Sunday scoring is posted.

Update November 5, 2000

Final lineups, roster moves, and receivables are updated.

Update November 2, 2000

Preliminary lineups, roster moves, and receivables are updated.

Update October 31, 2000

The Penetrators win high team honors for the third time this year. Their winning score of 138 points is the lowest winning score so far this season. High position went to Breaking Wind with 51 points (Holt 6, K. Johnson 14, Owens 31). It's the same story on the playoff hunt. In the South, The Penetrators and CowHorn LongBoys are tied for first and each one win away from clinching a playoff spot. In the North and Central, you only have one team eliminated from the playoff hunt but that will change after this weeks games.

Update II October 24, 2000

Preliminary lineups, roster moves, and receivables are updated.

Update October 24, 2000

Bevo's Revenge made a clean sweep this week taking both high team honors (213 points) and high scoring running backs with 79 points (S. Davis 28, R. Williams 51). Bevo's Revenge now has the lead in weekly prizes with three. Little was decided in the playoff races. Starr's Cigars was the first team eliminated from the playoff race but all others are still in it with four games left. Ten of the eighteen teams are in first of within one game of first.

Update October 23, 2000

The Fantasysports.com report server has been down and I haven't been able to port reports with the Sunday scoring. I will e-mail the reports later this morning. I'll send an e-mail if the website gets updated today.

Update October 20, 2000

Final lineups, roster moves, and receivables are updated.

Update October 17, 2000

For the second time in three weeks, The Penetrators take high team honors. This time with 182 points.  The big news related to high position is that Kurt Warner wasn't involved. Freddie Boom Boom won this week with a total of 63 points (Griese 36, Elam 27). With five weeks left in the regular season, no teams have been eliminated from playoff contention and all but one team is within three games of first.

Update October 16, 2000

Final rosters and Sunday scoring is posted. Nothing is decided with lots of players in action tonight. The receivables report is updated as is the roster moves report.

Update October 12, 2000

Preliminary lineups, roster moves, and receivables are updated.

Update October 10, 2000

It's funny how the football gods can spit on you one day and reward you the next. Saturday was a black day. Nothing more to talk about there. The rest of the weekend was great. 308 wins high team (190 points) and position honors (Brown 37, Freeman 11, Moss 23), has won three games in a row, and is tied for the division lead (with three other teams). The CowHorn LongBoys lost their first game of the year and are now tied for the lead in their division with The Penetrators. Shag-adelic has a one game lead over two other teams in the Central.

Update October 3, 2000

What a year for the offense! Fifteen of the eighteen teams in the league score over 100 points. The Penetrators take high team honors with a record breaking 217 points. Note that their reserves also scored more than any other teams reserves. High position went to Breaking Wind who got a pair of 33 point performances from S. Davis and Faulk. Faulk has now been involved in each of the running backs weeks similar to Warner for quarterbacks. The CowHorn LongBoys remain the lone undefeated team and have a one game lead over The Penetrators (who have a two game lead over the next closest team). The other divisions are wide open with only one game separating top and bottom in the North. As I said in my e-mail, I will be out of town until Sunday and won't have a chance to update the website until Monday night.

Update October 2, 2000

I was unable to access the statistics this morning. Damn internet is down. As such, there will be no updates until tomorrow morning.

Update September 28, 2000

Preliminary lineups, roster moves, and receivables are updated.

Update September 26, 2000

Finally, a good week of football (unless you're a Cowboys fan or a UT offense fan). The Horns win, 308 beats the most evil team in the league, and the Aggies weren't caught cheating (it seems like it's been a while since they last got caught -- they are due anytime). Bevo's Revenge took high team honors with 177 points barely beating The Penetrators who had 172. High position was obviously going to a team with Kurt Warner and this time it was Shag-adelic who teamed Warner (63 points) with Morten Andersen (18 points).  We're now down to one team with a perfect record. Defending champion the CowHorn LongBoys stand at 4-0 but only a one game lead over the Penetrators. There are no winless teams and only two games separate top from bottom in the other two divisions.

Update  September 25, 2000

Final rosters and Sunday scoring is posted. Nothing is decided with lots of players in action tonight. The receivables report is updated as is the roster moves report.

Update September 22, 2000

Preliminary lineups, roster moves, and receivables are updated.

Update September 19, 2000

After three weeks, we are down to two undefeated teams (CowHorn LongBoys and Lawson's Men) and two teams without a win (Starr's Cigars and 308). High team honors went to the Hoosiers (who are changing their name in protest of the Bobby Knight firing) with 120 points. Sparky's Oilers won high position at wide receiver with 44 points (Brown 16, Crowell 24, Smith 4). Though we've had parity in the win-loss records, we haven't had it with the weekly prizes. After three weeks, three teams have shared the six weekly prizes.

Update September 18, 2000

Sunday scoring is posted.

Update September 17, 2000

Final roster are posted.

Update September 14, 2000

Preliminary lineups, roster moves, and receivables are updated.

Update September 12, 2000

After two weeks there are only three undefeated teams -- all of which made the playoffs last year. There are also only three teams without a win -- including yours truly. This is the most parity I can remember. High team honors went to Sparky's Oilers with 192 points. This is the most points scored by a team since at least 1996 which is the first year we awarded weekly prizes. For the second week in a row, Larry wins a weekly prize. This time for high position with 51 points (Alstott 23; Faulk 18).

Update September 11, 2000

Sunday scoring is posted but there seem to be some problems with reports website. Try the reports periodically and hit the refresh button.

Update September 10, 2000

Final starting lineups are posted.

Update September 7, 2000

For the first time since 1996, the Hoosiers have actually won some money back. This has to be one of the biggest shockers ever as no team has invested as much with so little return as the Hoosiers have. They won high position with 71 points (QB Warner 49; K Mare 22). High team went to Larry (a/k/a Turd Burglars; a/k/a Smoke a Bowl) with 141 points. Congratulations to both our week one winners. Preliminary lineups are posted for week two. The receivables listing is updated and currently nine teams are prohibited from making roster moves. Please get that settled up.

Update September 5, 2000

Final scores are posted. I will be out of town until Thursday so no updates will be posted until Friday morning. Remember to turn in your preliminary lineups on Thursday.

Update September 4, 2000

Sunday results are posted -- and they are ugly.

Update August 31, 2000

Preliminary lineups for week one are posted. I also made a correction to the CowHorn LongBoys roster. All reports should be updated except for the A/R listing.

Update August 27, 2000

Draft reports and rosters are posted. Please check these and let me know of any errors. We also had our first roster moves with two out-for-the-season players drafted in the North. Please note that I had to set up the league again on the software program to correct some draft issues. As a result, the schedule previously posted may have changed.

Update August 22, 2000

Updated some of the team names. Added the draft order and the fill in sheets for each division.

Update August 16, 2000

The weekly website is now up and running. So far the scoring and schedules are posted. Click on the 2000 Weekly Reports link below.

Update August 13, 2000

I've updated the rules and payout schedule for the set number of teams and noted how the rules would read with the proposals I supported passing.

Update August 8, 2000

I finally updated my website. There will me much more once the teams are set. In the mean time, there is a link to proposed rule changes.
