It came down to the Monday night game with Obama Been Fondlin needing a big game from Matt Stafford. It was not to be and I Bet She’s Wet wins their first championship defeating Obama 122 to 116. IBSW was able to pick up Peyton Manning with the 5th pick in the first round after Peterson, Calvin Johnson, Brees and Foster. If you remember, Manning scored 65 points the Thursday before the draft and he still went down to 5th. IBSW parlayed that pick into a Division championship and the league championship. Congrats Edwin and Kyle!

In other action, Not in My Chop House defeated Flying Elvi 161 to 113 for consolation in their first year in the league. The Wonderlickers defeated Carlos Danger for the second consecutive week in the wild card losers game (152 to 102). Hoosier Daddy almost won high team toilet bowl for the third week in a row but was beaten out by one point by Coast. In the low team, 308 continued its dominating ways by taking its second weekly honor scoring a total of 95 points.

Sorry that I didn’t provide any good updates during the regular season. It was a tough year to block out time. I’ll be better next year. Thanks everyone again for participating and have a great Christmas.

The championship game is set with South division champion I Bet She’s Wet taking on North 3rd place team Obama Been Fondlin. Obama is going for their second title (and consecutive titles) while IBSW is going for their first. At press time IBSW was already up 41 to 2 after Thursday’s game. IBSW defeated Flying Elvi 141 to 105 to make the championship game while Obama defeated Not in My Chop House 161 to 129. In the wild card losers match, the Wonderlickers defeated Carlos Danger 89 to 80. In the toilet bowl, Hoosier Daddy took high team for the second week in a row scoring 123 points. Sparky’s Oilers took their rightful place as low team scoring 95 total points.

The South wild card game was a blow out as Flying Elvi dominated Carlos Danger 121 to 77. Flying Elvi will now face I Bet She’s Wet in the semi-finals. The North was full of controversy as the late statistics update changed the division champion as the last second. The Wonderlickers were the bad luck recipients of the late score update. They didn’t get a chance to update their lineup and an offer was made to void this past week’s game. They actually analyzed how they would have determined their lineup and conceded that they would have not won with the lineup they would have submitted. This was a very admirable act. As such, Obama Been Fondlin defeats the Wonderlickers 155 to 150 thanks to an outstanding performance by Seattle’s defense Monday night. Obama Been Fondlin will now face Not in My Chop House in the semi-finals.

In the toilet bowl, Hoosier Daddy easily won the high team honors despite getting zero points from their tight end and only playing one running back. They scored 171 points and could have scored over 200 points if they had started C.J. Spiller as their second running back. Next closest team was the CowHorn LongBoys with 131 points. 308 narrowly won low team honors scoring a total of 83 points while Bevo’s Revenge had 89.

It’s been a quiet season as far as the commissioner was concerned. For the first time I can remember, 308 was never in the running and, as you have seen, it was difficult for me to provide any kind of reasonable updates and commentary. I apologize and appreciate no one publicly griping about it as it would have been appropriate.

The Wonderlickers finished the season with the longest win streak (5 games) and a division title (the North). New team Not in My Chop House would have won the division but RGIII rushed for 7 yards on 4th and 10 with 1:50 left in the game which cost them one point on the San Francisco defense. That cost them the lead and they lost to Obama Been Fondlin in the tie breaker. Those two teams will play again in the first round of the playoffs.

The South was close with five teams playing for a playoff spot. They all needed to win to make the playoffs or maintain their position. They all did except the Penetrators which moved from a tie for second to a three way tie for third with Carlos Danger and Schultz Malt Liquor Bulls. Carlos Danger won the tie breaker and got the last playoff spot. They will take on Flying Elvi in the first round of the playoffs. I Bet She’s Wet won the South division.

Last weekly prizes went to the Wonderlickers for high team (119 points) and I Bet She’s Wet (52 points) for high position. Yes, the two division winners took the last prizes of the year. I guess the rich get richer.

In a little bit of good news (at least for me), 308 won the NFL Pick contest (thanks Scott). Cleveland Steamers and Obama Been Fondlin tied for second.

I’ve updated the weekly prizes for the year as well as the roster moves. Take a look and let me know if you see any errors
