With their 11th appearance in the playoffs (most
of any team name), the Penetrators finally won a league title. The easily
defeated # YESSIR 163 to 109. It was the second highest point total in a
championship game only behind the 165 points scored by Jim Beam Traveler in
2003. The Penetrators had finished as the runner up four different times.
Congrats to Steve and Justin.
In other results, Obama Been Fondlin won the consolation
game over Carlos Danger 142 to 53 (yikes!). Hoosier Daddy won their second wild
card loser game 116 to 102 over Sparky’s Oilers. In the toilet bowl, Bevo’s
Revenge and Westside Bounty Hunters tied for high team honors scoring 120
points. I Bet She’s Wet took low team honors scoring only 86 points.
The Penetrators had the most prize money of any time (as
expected) but did it without winning any weekly prizes. Only one team didn’t win
a weekly or playoff prize. Sad to say 308 was the team that got shut out the
entire season. Oh well. Just like the Horns and Cowboys, I’m going to try to
forget about this season.
Thanks again everyone for participating. Hope 2016 is a
great one for everybody.

Both division champions won and will play in the finals. It
wasn’t too easy as # YESSIR defeated Obama Been Fondlin by 12 and the
Penetrators defeated Carlos Danger by only 4 points. Despite making the playoffs
11 times, the Penetrators are going after their first title. Carlos Danger is
also going for their first title (under the name Carolos Danger). Other winners
included Toilet Bowl high team Westside Bounty Hunters (136 points); a tie for
low team by Not In My Chop House (second week in a row) and CowHorn LongBoys (84
points); and wild-card winner Hoosier Daddy (96-75 over Sparky’s Oilers).

The #2 seeds took care of business in the wild-card playoff
games and will take on the #1 seeds in the semi-finals. Carlos Danger won a
close game against Hoosier Daddy 114 to 106 while Obama Been Fondlin blew out
Sparky’s Oilers 148 to 92. Coast won high team honors in the Toilet Bowl scoring
144 points and beating Bevo’s Revenge by 7 points. In the low team competition,
you would have thought I Bet She’s Wet would win easily with their starters only
scoring 39 points. But backups Mariota (59 points) and Cooks (25 points) scored
enough to let Not In My Chop House sneak into the low team position scoring a
total of 82 points.

There wasn’t much suspense about who would make the
playoffs (except for Flying Elvi who got knocked out by losing their last two
games) but there was about the division champions. There was also suspense about
whether the website would ever be updated and another summary would go out – it
did and here it is. There was a three way tie in the North going into the final
week. Sparky’s Oilers got beat to finish in third. Both # YESSIR and Obama Been
Fondlin won and # YESSIR won the tiebreaker. This is the first playoff
appearance for # YESSIR. In the South, the top three teams won (see Flying Elvi
above). The Penetrators took the division championship and make the playoffs for
a league leading 11th time. Carlos Danger and Hoosier Daddy took the
other two playoff spots.
For the final week of the playoffs, the Wonderlickers
dominated high team scoring 174 points. Obama Been Fondlin took high position
honors (65 points) with the receivers group of WR Brandon Marshall (20), WR
DeSean Jackson (21), WR Martavis Bryant (17), and TE Jimmy Graham (7). This was
the first weekly prize for both teams. Overall only five teams (including my
308) didn’t win a weekly prize. Flying Elvi, in spite missing the playoffs, had
the most weekly wins finishing with 6 weekly prizes. Their $150 in weekly
winnings was the most since 2007 when Fi Card Charlee won $187.50 in weekly
prizes.
I apologize for the lack of updates. I did the same thing
in 2013 and I have the same excuse. A crappy start to my season and the struggle
of the teams I follow (Horns and Cowboys) didn’t help. Regardless, I have
updated the weekly prizes for the year and calculated all of the roster move
fees. The receivables detail is updated for all activity through week 12. Please
take a look and if you disagree with anything, let me know so we can work
through it.

It was a high scoring week as only four teams didn’t top
100 points. Bevo’s Revenge scored the most of any team with 156 points and high
team honors. This was their second weekly win. Flying Elvi dominated the high
position honors scoring 92 points with the receivers tandem of Steve Smith (38),
Brandon Marshall (15), Randall Cobb (16) and TE Greg Olsen (23). Even though it
was a high scoring week, you didn’t necessarily need a lot of points to win. Not
In My Chop House scored the second lowest points during the week but it was
still good enough for the win. They are one of the four remaining undefeated
teams (3 in the North and 1 in the South). There are also four teams without a
win.
September 22, 2015
Two new weekly winners as Carlos Danger took high team
honors (131 points) and Bevo’s Revenge took high position honors (44 points)
with the RB combination of Matt Forte (10), Jamaal Charles (31) and Lamar Miller
(3). After two weeks, there are six teams without a loss, six teams without a
win, and four teams that have one of each.
September 15, 2015
Last year, Westside Bounty Hunters and Hoosier Daddy
combined for 1.5 weekly prizes. They have already exceeded that total in week
one. Westside Bounty Hunters took high team honors with 133 points while Hoosier
Daddy took high position honors (40 points) with the combination of QB Aaron
Rodgers (19) and K Matt Bryant (21). Interesting week one fact: Of the six
playoff teams from 2014, only one won – Sparky’s Oilers. Also, two of the five
teams that scored over 100 points lost their game.
