There were dominating performance
the final week of the playoffs. Bevo’s Revenge completed a three week playoff
run to take the Platt Cup as league champion. They defeated Pierre Delecto 186
to 134. This was the third title for Bevo’s Revenge which ties them for best all
time with Cleveland Steamers, CowHorn LongBoys, and I Bet She’s Wet. It’s the
Pleats took consolation honors defeating the Penetrators 135 to 95. Special
recognition to the Penetrators for their league leading 15th playoff appearance.
Hossier Daddy swept the wild card loser games winning game two 223 to 119.
Hoosier Daddy lost their first round playoff game by 1 point. They would have
easily won the next two games if they could have won that first game. In the
Toilet Bowl, Cleveland Steamers won high team for the second week in a row
scoring 221 points. Low team for week three was # YESSIR who managed to only
score 100 points. Dishonorable mention goes to Coast and Who Dat?? Jameis
Baby!! as they were the only teams to not win a weekly or playoff prize. They
also were the only two teams with no paid roster moves (in fact they didn’t use
their free one either).
December 22, 2022
The finals are set. South division champion Pierre Delecto will take on North wild-card team Bevo’s Revenge. Pierre Delecto took care of business beating the Penetrators 163 to 124. Bevo’s Revenge upset North champion It’s the Pleats 182 to 164. Pierre Delecto won the championship two years ago. Bevo’s Revenge has won twice but the last was in 2011. Hoosier Daddy defeated the Wonderlickers 197 to 135 in the wild card losers game. In the toilet bowl, Cleveland Steamers took high team honors scoring 186 points while WAP tool the low team prize scoring a total of 131 points.
December 13, 2022
In a very exciting game that took most of the Monday
night game to determine the winner, the Penetrators defeated Hoosier Daddy by
one point (120-119) to advance to the semi-finals. Bevo’s Revenge had an easier
time defeating the Wonderlickers 141 to 128. The Penetrators will take on Pierre
Delecto while Bevo’s Revenge plays It’s the Pleats. The CowHorn LongBoys easily
won high team honors of the Toilet Bowl scoring 182 points. Sparky’s Oilers had
three players on bye weeks and two out injured and that led to a low score of
104 points and low team honors in the Toilet Bowl.

# YESSIR saved the best for last. They had already
clinched the worst record in the league but that didn’t stop them from winning
their last game and sweeping the weekly prizes. They scored 195 points and the
combination of QB Jalen Hurts (49), K Matt Gay (17), and D Green Bay Packers (3)
scored 69 points to win high position by one point over Coast. This was their
first two weekly prizes. Four teams didn’t win any weekly prizes – Coast, Pierre
Delecto, Sparky’s Oilers, and Who Dat?? Jameis Baby!!. In the North, It’s the
Pleats had already clinched their division but they won again and finished with
the best record in the league with only two losses. Bevo’s Revenge lost to It’s
the Pleats and finished in a tie for second with the Wonderlickers who defeated
Take a Hike for the last playoff spot. Pierre Delecto, in spite of not winning a
weekly prize, won the South by two games (It’s the Pleats won by three games).
Hoosier Daddy and the Penetrators finished tied for second one game better than
the CowHorn LongBoys. # YESSIR increased their lead and won the Pickem contest
while Cleveland Steamers and Take a Hike finished tied for second. Time for the
playoffs and the Toilet Bowl.
December 1, 2022
We had two teams score over 200 points but Bevo’s Revenge
(233) was pretty far ahead of Pierre Delecto (209). Bevo’s Revenue completed the
weekly prize sweep taking high position with 83 points. The receivers group of
WR Tee Higgins (27), Justin Jefferson (28), Jaylen Waddle (13), and TE T.J.
Hockenson (15) were successful in a competitive week. With only one week left,
It’s the Pleats has clinched the North championship and Pierre Delecto has
clinched the South. Bevo’s Revenge, the Wonderlickers and Take a Hike will
battle for the remaining two spots in the North. Hoosier Daddy and the
Penetrators have clinched the two remaining spots in the South. # YESSIR has
clinched worst team as they have a two game lead(?) over three teams. The NFL
Pickem contest is very tight going into the final week. # YESSIR (yes, the same
team just mentioned) has a one game lead over Cleveland Steamers and Take a
Hike. Bevo’s Revenge and the Wonderlickers are one game back of them.
November 23, 2022
It was a clean sweep for 308 who
won both high team (206 points) and high position (79 points) with RBs Aaron
Jones (14), Nick Chubb (8), Tony Pollard (45), and D’Andre Swift (12). That
makes five weekly prizes for 308 which leads the league (in spite of their 4-7
record). 308 has won three of the four RB weekly position prizes. It’s the
Pleats maintains the best record in the league after squeaking out a 1 point
victory over last place # YESSIR (159 to 158). It’s the Pleats have a two game
lead over Bevo’s Revenge and the Wonderlickers with Take a Hike one game back of
them. Pierre Delecto has a one game lead over Hoosier Daddy with the Penetrators
and CowHorn LongBoys one game back of them. Three teams are officially
eliminated in the North and no teams are officially eliminated in the South.
November 19, 2022
It took 9 weeks but Hoosier Daddy won their second weekly
prize after winning in week 1. They scored 198 points to win by 19 points.
Hoosier Daddy completed with weekly prize sweep scoring 73 points behind QB
Justin Fields (56), K Graham Gano (9) and the Philadelphia Eagles (8). It’s the
Pleats and Pierre Delecto both have one game leads with three games remaining.
All teams are still playoff eligible except # YESSIR. With that said, # YESSIR
won their second game of the season defeating Who Dat?? Jameis Baby!!.
November 10, 2022
The Penetrators won their first two weekly awards in week
9 sweeping both high team with 205 points and high position with 109 points. The
receivers group of DeAndre Hopkins (16), Mike Evans (9), Davante Adams (42),
JuJu Smith-Schuster (18) and TE Dallas Goedert (24) totaled the 109 points which
would have beat Cleveland Steamers by themselves. With four weeks left in the
regular season, no one is officially eliminated though # YESSIR is close. They
are still the lone one-win team and the next lowest has three wins. It’s the
Pleats has the best record of any team with only two losses. There are two teams
with three losses, six teams with four and 4 teams with five losses. Bottomline,
the playoff races are tight. Just like the senate.
November 1, 2022
Not sure how the stars aligned
but a one-win team ends up scoring the highest weekly point total of the season
(233 points) to take high team honors. Congratulations 308! Well deserved.
Condolences to Coast who scored 210 points which was the 3rd highest score of
the season. Bad timing. 308 also won RB high position for the second time this
season (three total weekly prizes) scoring 104 points with RBs Aaron Jones (19),
Nick Chubb (27), Tony Pollard (45), and D’Andre Swift (13). Take a Hike was
apparently playing for Wembanyama only scoring 91 points and falling out of the
first-place tie in the North. The Wonderlickers also lost and fell out of the
first-place tie. Sitting alone in first place with two losses is It’s the
Pleats. In the South, first place Pierre Delecto lost but so did second place
Teen Spirit. Last place teams, the Penetrators and Sparky’s Oilers, both won and
now every team in the South has a chance for the playoffs. # YESSIR is now the
lone team with only one win.
October 29, 2022
It was another sweep of the weekly prizes. This time by
WAP (IBSW for the 20s). WAP scored a total of 196 points. They also took high
position scoring 91 points with the combination of QB Joe Burrow (58), K Graham
Gano (14), and D Kansas City Chiefs (19). This was the first weekly prizes for
WAP. Two of the one loss teams lost which leaves Pierre Delecto as the only one
loss team. There are four two loss teams with three of them tied for first place
in the North. Sparky’s Oilers won for the second time in three weeks and that
leaves 308 and # YESSIR as the only one-win teams.
October 23, 2022
The Wonderlickers easily swept both weekly awards scoring
190 team points and 105 from their receivers (which would have beat 308). WRs
Mike Evans (8), Stefon Diggs (33), Christian Kirk (12), Michael Pittman Jr.
(26), and TE Mark Andrews (26) scored the 105 points. It was the second
receivers position prize for the Wonderlickers. To top off the week for the
Wonderlickers, they defeated what was the only remaining undefeated team, Take a
Hike. Take a Hike, Teen Spirit, and Pierre Delecto all have one loss. 308, #
YESSIR, and Sparky’s Oilers all have just one win.
October 11, 2022
Teen Spirit scored 209 points which was the second
highest score of the season to take high team honors and win their first weekly
prize. Also winning their first weekly prize is the lone undefeated team, Take a
Hike. Their running back tandem of Austin Ekeler (44), Jeff Wilson (20), and
Miles Sanders (7) totaled 71 points. While Take a Hike remains undefeated, we no
longer have any winless teams. Sparky’s Oilers got their first win of the season
defeating Coast by two points (162 to 160). Take a Hike has a two game lead in
the North while Teen Spirit and Pierre Delecto are tied for first in the South
with one loss.
October 7, 2022
It was a clean sweep by Bevo’s Revenge who took both the
high team (211 points) and high position (63 points). They didn’t have much
competition this week as they won their first weekly prizes. Mahomes has now
been part of five of the last seven QB weekly prizes. QB Patrick Mahomes scored
30 points while K Younghoe Koo added 12 and D San Francisco added 21. The
Wonderlickers lost to Who Dat! By 2 points for their first loss of the season.
That leaves Take a Hike as the lone undefeated team. The two winless teams
played each other, and the Penetrators got the win over Sparky’s Oilers who are
now 0-4.
October 2, 2022
Sorry it has taken me so long to send out an update. I
had knee replacement surgery right after the first week was over and it’s taken
me this long to sit down at the computer and get caught up. Of course, a 1-2
record doesn’t help with motivation. We’ve finished three weeks so far and have
six different weekly winners. High team winners have been as follows:
Week 1 |
Hoosier Daddy |
203 |
Easily won; only team over 200 points this year |
Week 2 |
It's the Pleats |
198 |
Won fairly easy; second best score so far |
Week 3 |
Cleveland Steamers |
179 |
Beat Take a Hike by 1 point |
High position honors have gone like this:
QB/K/D |
CowHorn LongBoys |
66 |
(Mahomes 44; Butker 10; Tampa Bay 12) |
||
RB |
308 |
86 |
(Jones 33; Chubb 34; Swift 19) |
||
WR/TE |
The Wonderlickers |
88 |
(Diggs 14; Thomas 9; Kirk 19; Pittman 15; Andrews 31) |
||
CowHorn LongBoys won their week by 1 point over Bevo’s
Revenge. Mahomes has now won four of the last six QB weekly prizes dating back
to last year.
There are two undefeated teams in each Division (North –
The Wonderlickers and Take a Hike; South – Teen Spirit and Hoosier Daddy).
The South has the only winless teams – The Penetrators
and Sparky’s Oilers.
I’ve updated the receivables page with weekly prizes,
carryover balances and roster moves. Take a look and let me know if you disagree
with anything.
Here’s getting back to weekly updates and hopefully more
wins.
