Green Bay was a loser this week while Tennessee was a winner. That means Steve Testa is the winner of the losers pool. This usually doesn't work out too well but Steve hadn't turned in a pick in a number of weeks and just rode out the default pick all the way to the win. Congratulations to him and our main pool winner Mark Heflin.
January 4, 2022
The two remaining losers pool entries both won.
December 28, 2021
The two remaining losers pool entries both had the LA Chargers which lost. As such, they will just move on to next week.
December 22, 2021
Arizona and Tampa Bay did the damage this week. Arizona took out 1 entry from both contests and Tampa Bay took out 1 from the losers pool. As a result, we're down to two remaining entries in the losers pool. In the main pool, we have our champion. Mark Heflin is our champion for the second straight year. His winning pick (Miami) had a losing record but they were playing the very dependable NY Jets. Last year Mark had to go all the way to the Super Bowl to win so this year he can relax and enjoy the playoffs. The two remaining loser pool contestants will continue to battle it out.
December 14, 2021
No losers this week in either pool.
December 7, 2021
No losers this week in either pool.
November 30, 2021
Dallas does the damage this week taking out 5 entries in the main pool and 3 in the losers pool. That leaves 2 entries in the main pool and 4 in the losers pool.
November 23, 2021
Another tough week as over half of the remaining contestants were knocked out. Tennessee does the bulk of the damage taking out 12 entries in the main pool and 7 in the losers pool. Carolina and Buffalo also knocked out 1 entry each in the losers pool. We're down to 7 entries in each pool.
November 16, 2021
It was another tough week as we lost almost half of the remaining entries in both contests. Overall, Tampa Bay took out the most entries (4 main; 6 losers). They were followed by Pittsburgh (6;2), Arizona (5;2), and Baltimore (2;3). The LA Chargers also took out 1 entry in the losers. Down to 19 entries in the main pool and 16 in the losers.
November 9, 2021
It was a devastating Sunday. Four of the top five teams
playing lost (as per the ESPN Power Index). Per the Bleacher Report, a $100
moneyline parlay on the Browns, Giants, Falcons, Broncos and Jaguars would have
paid $57,800. As for the survivor pool, not a good week to be a Cowboys fan (or
the Bills for that matter). In the main pool, we lost 75% or the remaining
entries (26% of the total pool). In the losers pool, we lost 69% of the
remaining entries (47% of the total pool). Down to 37 remaining entries in the
main pool and 30 in the losers pool. Dallas took out 62 entries in the main pool
and 51 in the losers pool. Buffalo took out 44 and 13, LA Rams 5 and 3, and New
Orleans 3 and 1.
November 2, 2021
From no losers last week, to a bunch this week thanks to Cincinnati. We lost 15% of entries in the main pool and 23% in the losers pool. Cincinnati took out 64 and 28 entries respectively. Also losing in the main pool was the LA Chargers (2) and Tampa Bay (1). In the losers pool, it was the LA Chargers (3), Tampa Bay (1), and Atlanta (1).
October 26, 2021
For the first time this season, there were no losers in either pool.
October 19, 2021
Buffalo decides to go for the win and not the tie and knocks out the most entries this week (also the default pick for most). In the main pool, Buffalo took out 8 entries while Denver took out 1. In the losers pool, Buffalo knocked out 7 while Carolina (2), Miami (2), Cleveland (1), LA Chargers (1), and Denver (1) did the rest.
October 12, 2021
Lots of close games that almost knocked out quite a few contestants. At the end it was Las Vegas that did some damage taking out 7 entries. Kansas City (a default pick) and Carolina cost one entry each.
October 5, 2021
Overtime games did the damage this week. Tennessee took out 44 entries and New Orleans 32. Atlanta also cost 1 entry. 17% of the pool got knocked out this week.
September 28, 2021
Relatively quiet week as we lost a total of 15 entries. The default pick lost for the second week in a row knocking out 5. This time it was Tampa Bay. Pittsburgh and Kansas City lost for the second week in a row and took out 5 and 3 entries, respectively. Lastly, New England took out 2 entries.
September 21, 2021
We lost 10% of remaining contestants in week 2 (that's 27% total). Seattle did the most damage knocking out 14 entries. Pittsburgh (10), default pick Kansas City (7), and coachless New Orleans (4).
September 14, 2021
It wasn't the easiest week 1 as we lost 19% of entries. Buffalo did the most damage knocking out 30 entries while Green Bay was the other double digit loser taking out 10 entries. Other teams losing included New England (8), Jacksonville (8), Baltimore (7), Tennessee (6), Minnesota (6), Atlanta (5), Cleveland (2), Washington (1), Dallas (1), and the NY Giants (1). The Tampa Bays and Kansas City folks were sweating.
February 7, 2021
Mark Heflin picked Tampa Bay to win while the other two remaining contestants in the main pool picked Kansas City. Congratulations to Mark and our Loser Pool winner Josh Huey. Thanks everyone for participating in a very strange season.
January 24, 2021
In the main pool, after everyone won last week, everyone
lost this week thanks to Green Bay. They are continuing on to the Super Bowl.
In the losers pool, last week two entries had Green Bay
and one had Kansas City. This week they all three picked the same teams. This
time it didn’t work out for the Green Bay picks. Josh Huey went with Kansas City
and won the losers pool.
January 10, 2021
One loser due to Pittsburgh.
January 4, 2021
No losers this week. On to the playoffs!
December 29, 2020
Cleveland and their lack of wide receivers took out one entry in the main pool. No losers in the losers pool. Going into the last week of the regular season, there are 4 entries remaining in the main pool and 3 in the losers pool.
December 22, 2020
It was a bad week to think the NY Jets wouldn't win a game this year (especially a road game against a team trying to make the playoffs). The LA Rams took out 21 entries in the main pool and 19 in the losers pool. New Orleans (default pick) also took out 1 entry in the main pool. That leaves 5 entries in the main pool and 3 in the losers pool.
December 15, 2020
No losers this week in either pool.
December 9, 2020
It was a bad week to not be a Colt McCoy fan. Entries knocked out were all due to Seattle - 16 in the main pool and 7 in the losers pool.
December 2, 2020
The Los Angeles Rams caused the damage this week taking out 7 entries in the main pool and 14 entries in the loser pool. Las Vegas took out 1 entry in the main. In the losers pool, Baltimore and Tampa Bay took out 2 each due to default picks while Dallas(?) took out 1 entry.
November 24. 2020
It was a bad week to be a Cowboys hater. Minnesota took out 18 entries from the main pool and 33 from the losers pool. Miami and New England took out 1 each in the main pool. Baltimore took out 2 and Miami and Tampa Bay 1 each in the losers pool.
November 17, 2020
It was another bad week to have the default pick. Baltimore knocked out 6 from the main pool and 5 from the losers pool. Philadelphia also took out an entry from the losers pool.
November 10, 2020
It was the default pick that knocked out the most entries this week. Tampa Bay took out 3 in the main pool and 2 in the losers. Arizona took out 1 in the main pool and 3 in the losers pool. Seattle also cost 1 entry in the losers pool. You Pittsburgh folks can breathe easy now.
November 3, 2020
Tennessee and Green Bay did most of the damage this week. Tennessee took out 4 from the main and 5 from the losers while Green Bay took out 4 from the main and 6 from the losers. Baltimore and the LA Rams took out 1 team each from the losers.
October 27, 2020
It was an easy week. No losers in either pool.
October 20, 2020
New England does the damage this week taking out 11% (38 entries) and 21% (17 entries) in the main and losers pool, respectively. Also in the main, eliminations were due to Minnesota (3), the LA Rams (2), and NY Jets (1). In the losers pool, Minnesota (6), the LA Rams (5), and Green Bay (1) added to the carnage.
October 14, 2020
Kansas City does the damage taking out 37 entries including a lot of default picks. San Francisco eliminated 5 picks and Indianapolis 1.
October 6, 2020
Slow week as only five entries were eliminated thanks to San Francisco (3) and Houston (2).
September 29, 2020
It was a bad week to pick a team with an OU quarterback (at least one team), a bad week to have the default pick, a bad week to pick a team that has historical chokes and a bad week to pick a game that is going to end in a tie. We lost 86 entries (including mine) or 21% of the total pool. Arizona (30) did the most damage followed by Baltimore (27), LA Chargers (17), Philadelphia (5), Jacksonville (4), and Atlanta (3).
September 22, 2020
Week 2 was way more predictable as only five entries were knocked out thanks to New Orleans (4) and Philadelphia (1).
September 15, 2020
Week 1 is always a dangerous week with new faces in new places and then throw in the crazy things going on. It did its damage to the contest with 34% of entries getting knocked out. Indianapolis did most of the damage costing 74 entries. Other teams contributing were Philadelphia (35), San Francisco (21), Denver (2), Detroit (2), Tampa Bay (1), Minnesota (1), Dallas (1) and Carolina (1).
February 2, 2020
All three left in the losers pool had Kansas City to win the Super Bowl. All three (Michael Kelleher, A Kholer, and Mike Manos III) are tri-champions while Kelleher took the top spot based on the tie-breaker.
January 12, 2020
Baltimore lost while Kansas City won and that left Blake Woodson as your main pool champion.
January 11, 2020
New Orleans decimated the playoffs taking out three of the remaining five contestants from the main pool and taking out all three contestants in the losers pool. They have decided to carry on to determine an ultimate winner.
December 31, 2019
No losers this week. Happy new year!
December 24, 2019
It's Seattle who does the damage this week. Takes out 5 of ten remaining entries in the main pool and 1 of the remaining four in the losers pool.
December 18, 2019
San Francisco eliminates one entry from each pool.
December 10, 2019
No losers in the main pool. Houston takes out one entry in the losers pool.
December 3, 2019
Lost more than 50% of remaining contestants in both pools. Carolina (8), Philadelphia (4), New England (1), and Minnesota (1) did the damage in the main pool. Carolina (6), Philadelphia (1), and Minnesota (1) knocked out entries in the losers pool.
November 26, 2019
Atlanta knocks out one contestant in the regular pool and two in the losers pool.
November 19, 2019
No losers in the main pool. Carolina takes out one entry in the losers pool.
November 12, 2019
There were 5 NFL teams with only one or no wins to start the week. Three of those teams won and decimated the pool. If you didn't pick Baltimore or Green Bay, you were out and that included the default pick (SF). In the main pool, New Orleans did the most damage (68) while Indianapolis (17), San Francisco (8), and Kansas City (3) did the rest. 26 contestants remain. Similar story in the losers pool as New Orleans (34), Indianapolis (28), and Buffalo (1) do the damage. 18 contestants remain.
November 5, 2019
Two of the top three teams in the Sagarin ratings lost this week so not a good week to get the default pick. In the main pool, Green Bay took out 4 contestants, New England 3, Cleveland 1, and Arizona 1. In the losers pool, Green Bay took out 9 contestants, New England 4, Cleveland 3 and Arizona 1.
October 29, 2019
No losers this week.
October 22, 2019
By far the easiest week. No losers in the main pool. Houston took out one entry in the losers pool.
October 15, 2019
There were some Cowboys fans who thought they would bounce back from two straight losses...and they were wrong. The Cowboys took out 25 entries from the main pool and 28 from the losers pool. The main pool lost 8% of contestants thanks to the Cowboys, LA Chargers (7), Kansas City (5), LA Rams (2) and Atlanta (1). The losers pool lost 30% in its first week thanks to the Cowboys, LA Chargers (10), Kansas City (2), NY Giants (1) and Cincinnati (1).

October 1, 2019
14% of entries were knocked out in the first three weeks combined. In week four, 41% or 200 entries were eliminated. The LA Rams accounted for 140 of those entries. Here is the rest:
LA Rams | 140 |
Indianapolis | 18 |
Baltimore | 17 |
Houston | 13 |
Green Bay | 9 |
Atlanta | 3 |
200 |
September 24, 2019
Only 10 entries eliminated in a fairly easy week. Tampa Bay and Philadelphia took out 4 each while Atlanta and Seattle one each.
September 17, 2019
Carolina did the damage this week taking out 21 entries. Tennessee (3), NY Giants (2), LA Chargers (1), and Philadelphia (1) did the rest.
September 10, 2019
It was a relatively calm first week as 35 contestants or 7% were eliminated. Cleveland did the most damage with 19 entries (Boomer Sooner) while the NY Jets (5), Chicago (5), Denver (3), Tampa Bay (1), Atlanta (1) and Detroit (1) did the rest.
January 6, 2019
It only took the wild card games to get a winner in the losers pool. Barbara Zabrowski selected the only winner this week (Indianapolis). Chicago took out four entries and Houston took out the other. Congratulations to Barbara and regular pool winner Dean Albanesi. Thanks everyone for participating.
December 31, 2018
One loser thanks to Minnesota. On to the playoffs!
December 25, 2018
No losers in the losers pool this week.
December 18, 2018
After 15 weeks, Dean Albanesi selected the Houston Oilers, I mean Texans. The Texans won and the LA Rams lost (selected by Bill Black). That leave Dean as the winner of the regular pool for 2018. This is Dean's second win also taking the crown in 2003 (tied with 3 others). There were 77 entries that year compared to 415 this year. In the loser pool, the Rams took out 3 entries while Seattle eliminated 2 and New England 1. That leaves 7 entries in the loser pool.
December 11, 2018
It was a devastating week as the most popular pick this week lost. Pittsburg took out 6 in the main pool and 10 in the loser pool. Denver took out 1 and 2, respectively. Also eliminating entries in the loser pool was New England (2), Houston (2), Buffalo (1) and the LA Rams (1). This leaves two entries remaining in the main pool and 13 in the loser pool.
December 4, 2018
It was a bad week to pick Green Bay, forget to turn in a pick or accidentally pick the wrong team. In the main pool, the damage was done by Green Bay (5)and San Francisco (1). In the loser pool, damage was Green Bay again (13) and Pittsburgh (3). We're down to 9 entries in the main pool and 31 in the loser pool.
November 26, 2018
No losers in the main pool. 3 losers in the losers pool thanks to Pittsburgh (2) and Cincinnati (1).
November 20, 2018
It was a tough week as 6 entries lost in the main pool while 48 lost in the losers pool. That leaves 15 entries remaining in the main pool and 50 in the losers pool. The LA Chargers did the most damage taking out 4 in the main pool and 26 in the losers pool. Also in the main pool, Arizona and Atlanta took out 1 entry each. In the losers pool, Arizona took out 13 and Carolina 9.
November 13, 2018
Lost one contestant in the main pool thanks to Philadelphia. Philadelphia also took out 13 contestants in the losers pool while the NY Jets got 7, New England 2, Atlanta 2, and San Francisco 1.
November 6, 2018
Dallas does the damage this week taking out 5 entries from the main pool and 21 entries from the losers pool. Washington and the LA Rams took out 3 each from the losers pool as well.
October 30, 2018
No losers this week.
October 22, 2018
There was one loser in the main pool thanks to Philadelphia. The Eagles also took out 10 entries in the loser's while Jacksonville took out 7 entries.

Tennessee took out one contestant.
October 2, 2018
Indianapolis and Philadelphia both take out one entry in a slow week (for once).
September 25, 2018
It was a cataclysmic week as 83% of the remaining entries all lost. The three teams with the most selections all lost. Minnesota alone took out 121 entries. New England (13), Jacksonville (11), and Houston (5) did the rest of the damage. There are only 31 entries remaining which represents 7% of the total pool.
September 19, 2018
It was default pick New England (13) and Washington (10) that did most of the damage. Philadelphia, Carolina, Baltimore, Houston and Minnesota each took out one entry.
September 11, 2018
It was a tough week as the most popular team, New Orleans, lost. That took out 142 entries in week 1 (34% of the pool). In addition, Detroit (39), Pittsburgh (15), Tennessee (4), Arizona (2), LA Chargers (2), Dallas (1), and Indianapolis (1) also took out contestants. Overall, 206 of 415 entries went down in the first week. That's 50% of the pool who didn't make it to week 2.
January 1, 2018
It was a bad week to pick
Seattle. If you did, you were out. If you didn’t, you won your respective
contest. Joel Kringel picked Minnesota which was his 17th straight correct
prediction and left him as the lone survivor of the main pool. This is Joel’s
first win in the Suicide Pool. Eric Bulman picked New England and it was good
that he held that pick the whole contest. It was his 12th consecutive correct
prediction and he was the lone survivor of the loser pool. Eric also won the
main pool in 2006. The Bulman family (I’m assuming they are family) have had
other success with Dad Bulman finishing in a tie for the top spot in the 2016
main pool and Allan Bulman finishing in a tie for the top spot in the loser pool
in 2014.
Congratulations to both the winners. I hope everyone has
had a great holidays and good luck to everyone in 2018.
December 26, 2017
No losers this week. Happy New Year!!!
December 20, 2017
No losers this week. Happy holidays!
December 12, 2017
No losers in the main pool but we lost 9 contestants in the loser's pool. New England (6) does the most damage while Tennessee, Cincinnati, and the NY Jets each knock out one contestant. We're down to two contestants in the main pool and four in the loser's pool.
December 5, 2017
No losers this week.
November 29, 2017
No losers this week.
November 21, 2017
It was a bad week to have Kansas City. The Chiefs eliminated 23 entries in the loser's pool and 3 in the main pool. That leaves us with 2 entries remaining in the main pool and 13 in the loser's pool.
November 14, 2017
No losers this week.
November 8, 2017
Looks like quite a few folks thought they were picking who would win the World Series and not NFL games. We lost a big chunk of the remaining entries in both pools. In the main pool, we're down to 5 entries after Houston knocked out 7 and Seattle knocked out 2. In the loser's pool Houston took out 17, Seattle 17, and Kansas City 1.
October 31, 2017
No losers this week.
October 24, 2017
Kansas City takes out one entry from both pools. Carolina also takes out one from the loser's pool.
October 17, 2017
I lasted one week in the main pool and one week in the loser's pool. I hate this contest. Denver does the biggest damage taking out 18 entries from the main pool and 42 entries from the loser's pool. Atlanta (16), Green Bay (2), and Kansas City (1) also took out contestants in the main pool. 53% of contestants were eliminated in the first week of the loser's pool thanks to Denver, Atlanta (34), Baltimore (5), and Kansas City (1).
October 10, 2017
Since the loser's pool was about to start, Pittsburgh decided to send 77 entries that direction. In addition, the NY Giants (4), Tennessee (2), Detroit (2), Cleveland (1), and Oakland (1) also contributed to more losers (87) than winners (52). After 5 weeks, only 14% of entries remain.
October 3, 2017
Another tough week as we lost 21% of the pool thanks to New England (36), Atlanta (33), Dallas (7), and Jacksonville (1). Out of 366 entries, only 139 or 38% have survived.
September 26, 2017
We lost 14% of the pool this week and it was almost a lot more. Pittsburgh did the most damage taking out 30 contestants. Miami (11), Carolina (7), Baltimore (3), and Denver (2) also contributed.
September 19, 2017
Only one loser this week thanks to the LA Chargers.
September 12, 2017
Week one was no fun if you had New England (42) or Houston (41) (or Cincinnati [6], Arizona [3], NY Jets [1], Washington [1], Cleveland [1], or New Orleans [1]). That's a total of 96 entries or 26% knocked out in the first week (including me!). I hate this game.
February 5, 2017
It was a crazy, exciting Super Bowl and it was also the first loss for 4 contestants in the main pool and 1 in the loser's pool. In the end, there were 6 entries in the main pool that never lost a game. Those contestants were Dad Bulman, Carl Myers, Carson Cunningham, Chris Hayers, Weebo Lenz, and David Webb. In the loser's pool 2 contestants got through without a loss - Josh Huey and Mike Manos. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks everyone for participating.
January 22, 2017
There was one loser this week thanks to Green Bay. Good luck to the remaining contestants in the Super Bowl!
January 15, 2017
No losers this week.
January 8, 2017
No losers this week.
January 2, 2017
The last week of the regular season cost one contestant in each pool who picked Washington. We finish the regular season with 11 entries remaining in the main pool and 3 in the loser's pool.
December 27, 2016
Well, the bad teams finally won and a good team lost and that cost many contestants. In the main pool, Seattle did the most damage knocking out 11 entries. Tennessee took out 3 and San Diego 2. There are 12 entries remaining as we enter the last week of the regular season. In the loser's pool, Seattle took out 3, San Diego 3, and Tennessee 3. Only 4 entries remain.
December 20, 2016
No losers this week.
December 14, 2016
In the main pool, Dallas and Indianapolis each took out one contestant. In the loser pool, Indianapolis took out 3 contestants and Denver took out one.
December 7, 2016
Only one loser in the main pool and that was really a retroactive loss due to picking the same team three times and having to use the default pick which lost. The loser's pool saw six contestants knocked out thanks to Atlanta (3), New Orleans (2) and San Diego (1).
November 29, 2016
For the first time this season, there were no losers in either pool.
November 22, 2016
Kansas City knocks out two contestants from each pool.
November 15, 2016
New England knocks out one contestant from each pool.
November 8, 2016
Green Bay did the most damage in both pools knocking out 11 in the main pool and 15 in the loser's pool. Denver took out 4 in the main pool and 2 in the loser's pool. Minnesota took out 1 contestant in each pool.
November 1, 2016
Not a good week to be a Minnesota fan. In the main pool, 27 contestants were eliminated thanks to Minnesota while Cincinnati (2) and Cleveland (1) also took out some entries. Same story in the loser's pool as Minnesota knocked out 18 contestants and Cincinnati got 2.
October 25, 2016
Just a few losers this week. Atlanta takes out 6 in the main pool and Tennessee takes out 1. In the loser pool, Atlanta took out 8 while Tennessee (2) and Minnesota (1) also did some damage.
October 18, 2016
It wasn't a good week to be a Pittsburgh fan. It was both the default pick and a popular pick as well. It was the lone losing team in the regular pool knocking out 27 contestants (8%). After 6 weeks, only 24% of the pool is left. It was a tough week in the loser's pool too. 26 contestants had Pittsburgh while Oakland (3), Chicago (1), and Green Bay (1) were also selected. That's a total of 31 entries or 29% of the pool gone after one week.
October 11, 2016
Denver (6) and Carolina (6) did the damage this week.
October 4, 2016
Arizona had the biggest impact in week 4 taking out 44 entries. The default pick of New England also eliminated 20 entries. Additionally, Baltimore (3), San Diego (1), Detroit (1) and Carolina (1) took out entries.
September 27, 2016
The default pick did the most damage this week. Pittsburgh took out 27 entries. Other teams contributing included the NY Giants (15), Arizona (10), Carolina (9), Tampa Bay (8) and New Orleans (1). That's a total of 70 entries or 19% of the pool. Almost half of the pool is out after three weeks.
September 20, 2016
Seattle does the damage this week knocking out 20 entries. Oakland (12), Detroit (10), Green Bay (2), San Francisco (1), and Chicago (1) also eliminated entries. That was another 46 entries or 13% of the contest. That's 26% of the pool gone after two weeks.
September 13, 2016
First week had a few upsets knocking out 47 entries (including myself). Arizona did the most damage with 23 entries while Indianapolis had 12 entries. Also causing damage were Atlanta (4), New Orleans (2), Carolina (2), Tennessee (1), Washington (1), Buffalo (1) and LA Rams (1).
January 17, 2016
After 17 regular season games and two playoff games, we finally have a winner. Bruce Harris was the last person standing with his pick of Denver. Seattle took out the other contestants. This is Bruce's second time to win also being the last person standing in 2005.
January 4, 2016
No losers this week. On to the playoffs.
December 31, 2015
No losers this week.
December 23, 2015
No losers this week.
December 15, 2015
No losers this week.
December 8, 2015
No losers in the main pool. We got a winner in the loser's pool. While Aris Valle failed to turn in a pick, everyone else picked Chicago. All four entries get eliminated and Aris ends up with the default pick of Seattle. It was good enough for the win and Aris takes the pool.

October 28, 2014
Just when you think the Cowboys are back, they lose at
home to a 2-5 team using their third string QB. Dallas knocked out 43
contestants in the main pool while San Diego and Indianapolis took out one each.
That leaves 24 entries. Dallas took out 17 entries in the loser’s pool while
Indianapolis also took out one entry. There are 24 entries remaining in the
loser’s pool.

December 17, 2013
Both remaining contestants had Carolina so on to the next week.
December 10, 2013
Both remaining contestants won again this week but it wasn't easy. One had New England and the other had Baltimore. If you watched the games, you know both of those teams barely pulled it off.
December 3, 2013
Both of the remaining contestants picked correctly this week.
November 26, 2013
Down to two contestants in the main pool. Kansas City (2) and Detroit (1) took out three of the remaining five contestants. In the loser's pool, Detroit (2), Houston (1), and Kansas City (1) took out four contestants and that only left one standing. Steve David is the loser's pool champion in one of the shortest contests of recent memory (2006 ended after week 11).
November 20, 2013
One loser in the main pool because of Kansas City. Five contestants remaining. The loser's pool lost half of its remaining contestants thanks to New England (3) and Houston (3). There are also five contestants left.
November 12, 2013
It was a devastating week with Tennessee and Indianapolis both losing. In the main pool, Tennessee (33), Indianapolis (23), and San Francisco (3) took out 91% of the then remaining contestants. That leaves six contestants remaining. Of these, I think about half didn't turn in a pick and got lucky with their default pick. In the loser's pool, Indianapolis took out 29 contestants and Tennessee 27. Green Bay (2), Miami (1), and San Francisco (1) also knocked out a few contestants. That's 85% of the then remaining contestants. The loser's pool now has 11 remaining contestants.
November 5, 2013
Green Bay takes out 4 and New Orleans takes out 3 in the main pool. Green Bay took out another 6 entries in the loser's pool.

October 8, 2013
A field goal to win the game on the last play of the game results in the elimination of almost one-third of the total contestants. 83 of us (including myself) had Atlanta to win. Another 6 had San Diego while there was one contestant each with New England, Seattle and Tennessee.
October 1, 2013
We lost another 4% of the contestants in week 4 thanks to Cincinnati (11) and Baltimore (2).

Pittsburgh did the most damage knocking out 25 contestants. Tampa Bay was next with 10 while Washington took care of 6, Cincinnati 2 and Cleveland 1.
February 3, 2013
Congratulations to loser's pool winner John Durrett who was the only remaining contestant to correctly pick Baltimore to win the Super Bowl. Thanks everyone for participating this year.
January 26, 2013
We're down to just the loser's pool and New England took out
four of the seven contestants last weekend. The three remaining contestants will
battle it out in the Super Bowl. Gloria Manos still has the opportunity to win
both contests.
January 13, 2013
It took the second week of the playoffs but we've finally crowned our first of two champions. Gloria Manos took New England while the other two remaining contestants in the main pool (including her husband) took Denver and that gives Gloria the crown. The loser's pool also lost seven contestants (including yours truly), leaving seven to keep battling it out. Gloria is also alive in the loser's pool. We'll see if she can sweep the crowns.
January 6, 2013
No losers this week.
December 30, 2012
No losers in the main pool. Atlanta takes out one contestant from the loser's pool. That leaves 3 contestants in the main pool and 14 in the loser's pool heading into the playoffs.
December 24, 2012
No losers this week.
December 18, 2012
You knew it was harder to make your picks when the top two selected teams were Miami and Detroit. Unfortunately for quite a few, Detroit lost. That knocked out 5 contestants from the main pool and 9 from the loser's pool. New England also took out a contestant in the main pool. That means were down to 3 contestants in the main pool and 15 in the loser's pool.
December 11, 2012
No losers in the main pool but we lost two contestants in the loser's pool thanks to Tampa Bay. Still have 9 contestants remaining in the main pool and now have 24 contestants left in the loser's pool.
December 4, 2012

November 27, 2012
No losers in the main pool. Dallas and Tennessee each took out one contestant in the loser's pool. Still have 11 contestants remaining in the main pool and 37 in the loser's pool.
November 20, 2012
No upsets in the NFL unlike the NCAA. There was some close calls though (Cowboys!). No losers this week in either pool.
November 13, 2012
San Francisco does the bulk of the damage this week. Five contestants were eliminated from the main pool and sixteen from the loser's pool due to San Francisco. Miami and Chicago also took out one contestant each in the loser's pool. This leaves 11 contestants in the main pool and 39 contestants in the loser's pool.
November 7, 2012
No losers this week in either pool.
October 30, 2012
No losers in the main pool. The loser's pool lost four contestants thanks to Minnesota (2), San Diego (1), and the NY Jets (1).
October 24, 2012
No losers this week in either pool.
October 16, 2012
They don't call it the loser's pool for nothing. We received 102 entries (a new record) and 41 (40%) immediately lost in the first week. Pittsburgh took out 17 while Arizona (9), San Francisco (7), Philadelphia (3), Cincinnati (2), Houston (1), New England (1) and Minnesota (1) did the rest of the damage. In the main pool, we lost 5 contestants due to Arizona (2), Philadelphia (2), and Pittsburgh (1). That leave 16 contestants in the main pool and 61 in the loser's pool.
October 9, 2012
Green Bay was the undoing of three contestants this week. That leaves 21 contestants.
October 3, 2012
It's a miracle! No one lost this week.
September 25, 2012
We started this week with only 108 contestants left and 84 of those came up with a loss (78%). If you didn't have Dallas (?) or Chicago, you were a loser. New Orleans did most of the damage with 44 contestants. They were followed by San Francisco (19), Pittsburgh (6), Detroit (5), Washington (4), New England (3), Green Bay (2), and Philadelphia (1). That's eight different teams who were selected and lost. I can't remember when that many teams lost in one week. Good luck to the 24 contestants left (which means 91% of the contestants were out within three weeks).
September 18, 2012
It was a bad week to not turn in a pick and it was a pretty bad week to make a pick. 22 entries didn't turn in a pick and got New England. There were another 103 (including myself) who took New England all the same. That's 125 entries knocked out by one team. Dallas took out another 4, New Orleans 2, and Oakland/Washington 1 each. That's 48% of the field so 61% of the entries have already been knocked out in two weeks.
September 11, 2012
Don't mess with RG3. Washington upset New Orleans and that took out 31 contestants in week one. New Orleans along with Seattle (2), Carolina (1), NY Giants (1), Pittsburgh (1), and Green Bay (1) resulted in 37 contestants exiting after one week. That's 13% of the total contestants.
February 6, 2012
After 17 weeks in the regular season and four weeks of playoffs, there were still five contestants without a loss. Four contestants took New England. That left Keith Lloyd, Anthony Cabrera, Jarrod Baer, Tim Deithloff, and Mike Manos as co-winners for 2012. In the loser's pool, both contestants took New England which meant they both finished as co-winners. Mike Manos wins again as does Sam Boone.
January 22, 2012
Everyone took New England so there wasn't any changes. We'll get it cleared up with the Super Bowl.
January 16, 2012
It was a mostly New England week with one pick for Baltimore and one pick for Green Bay. Green Bay was the lone loser and knocked out one more participant in the regular pool.
January 9, 2012
It was Tebow time and that was bad news for three of the five contestants left in the loser's pool. Pittsburgh's loss means there are only two entries left in the loser's pool. No losers in the main pool so all ten contestants move on to the next week of the playoffs.
January 2, 2012
No losers this week. On to the playoffs.
December 27, 2011
No losers this week.
December 20, 2011

December 13, 2011
No losers this week.
December 6, 2011
You were good as long as you picked New England or San Francisco. One contestant in the loser's pool took Chicago and they were the lone loser this week.
November 29, 2011
San Diego takes out one contestant from the loser's pool. 13 remaining the main pool and 10 in the loser's pool.
November 22, 2011
Lost one entry in the main pool thanks to the NY Jets.
November 15, 2011
It was a bad week to not pick Green Bay (or get San Francisco as a default pick). Any other team and you were out (including myself). Philadelphia did the bulk of the damage knocking out 14 contestants from the main pool and another 19 from the loser's pool. Also in the main pool, Baltimore took out 5 and Carolina 1. In the loser's pool, Baltimore took out 3, Cleveland 1, and San Diego 4. Only 14 entries left in the main pool and 10 in the loser's pool.
November 8, 2011
We lost ten contestants in the loser's pool and another five in the main pool. Kansas City and Oakland took out three each while New England and Philadelphia took out two in the loser's pool. Kansas City took out three and New England two in the main pool.
November 1, 2011
It was a bad week to pick New Orleans. It cost 8 contestants in the main pool and 12 in the loser's pool. There were a bunch of close calls but that was the only loser this week.
October 25, 2011
Baltimore does the most damage this week taking out 6 entries in the regular pool and 10 entries in the loser's pool. Oakland took out 1 and 2, respectively, while Detroit caused 1 loser in the loser's pool.
October 19, 2011
Thanks to Detroit, one contestant was eliminated from the main pool. No losers in the loser's pool.
October 11, 2011
I can't remember one team doing as much damage as the NY Giants did Sunday. They single handedly took out 79 entries. That's 30% of the entire pool and 56% of the entries that were still alive going into week 5. Houston took out 8 entries and Indianapolis took out 1 more. That leaves only 54 entries still alive or 21% of the entire pool.
October 4, 2011
Philadelphia does all the damage this week and took out 11 entries.
September 28, 2011
It wasn't a good week to forget to enter your pick as the default pick, New England, lost and removed 28 entries. Arizona and Philadelphia both took out 4 entries while Atlanta, Cincinnati, and the NY Jets took out one each.
September 20, 2011
Baltimore did all the damage this week and took out 7 entries.
September 13, 2011
What a horrible start. 24% of the pool goes out in the first week including myself. Cleveland (24) and Kansas City (23) did most of the damage (related to UT starters???) while the NY Giants (7), Atlanta (4), Denver (2), Indianapolis (1) and Dallas (1) did the rest. 199 entries still standing. I'm just waiting for the loser's pool now.
January 17, 2011
Finally sending out the final update. After week 16, the loser's pool was done with Tim Bohman taking the prize. There were two players left in the main pool. Both won in week 17 so we then went to the playoff games. In the first week of the playoffs, Lalo Guerrero took defending champion New Orleans while Clark Tilley took Baltimore. New Orleans was upset by Seattle and that left Clark as the main pool winner. Congratulations to both winners and thanks everyone for participating.
December 29, 2010
The lesson learned this week - Thursday games are easy to pick while Tuesday games are hard. Philadelphia finished one contest and almost the other. The Eagles took out three contestants from the loser's pool and that left one entry, Crimson Starfish 5, as the winner. Congratulations Tim Bohman on the win. In the main pool, two contestants were knocked out which leaves us with just two left.
December 21, 2010
Tampa Bay takes out two contestants in the main pool. No losers in the loser's pool. That leaves four contestants in each pool.
December 16, 2010
We lost one contestant in each pool. The NY Jets took our one in the main pool (leaving six) and Green Bay took out one in the loser's pool (leaving four).
December 7, 2010
Week 13 was definitely unlucky if you picked San Diego. After two weeks without any misses, five contestants in the main pool and two in the loser's pool were eliminated thanks to San Diego. That leaves seven contestants in the main pool and five in the loser's pool.
November 30, 2010
For the second week in a row, no losers in either pool.
November 23, 2010
No losers this week in either pool.
November 17, 2010
Dallas does the damage once again. This time by going against them. The Cowboys knock out 12 from the regular pool and 5 from the loser's pool. Pittsburgh and Baltimore took out one each in the regular pool. That leaves 12 remaining in the regular pool and 7 in the loser's pool
November 9, 2010
New England takes out four contestants in the main pool leaving 26 entries still battling it out. New England also took out four in the loser's pool and Indianapolis took out one. That leaves 12 contestants left there.
November 4, 2010
I was surprised when people picked the Cowboys at the beginning of the season. I'm even more surprised now. In the regular pool, five contestants met their demise due to the Pokes. The NY Jets (who were the default pick for many folks) took out six contestants while Denver and Pittsburgh took out one apiece. In the loser's pool, Dallas took out another four entries while the NY Jets took out four as well. Arizona and Pittsburgh both took out one each.
October 26, 2010
The Horns killed me on Saturday and an ex-Horn killed me on Sunday. New Orleans took out 23 entries in the regular pool and 18 in the loser's pool. In addition, Denver took out one entry in the regular pool and two in the loser's pool. That's 10% and 30% of total entries respectively. The regular pool is down to 43 contestants or 17% of the total entries while the loser's pool is down to 27 entries or 41% of the total entries (after only two weeks).
October 19, 2010
Only three losers in main pool with San Diego taking out two and Chicago one. In the Loser's Pool, 29% fell out after the first weekend. Chicago (9) and San Diego (8) did most of the damage while Denver and Green Bay took out one contestant each. I guess that's why it's called the Loser's Pool.
October 12, 2010
It was a bad week for the pool. Ten different teams were selected by contestants and five of them lost. The losses took out 25% of the contestants which means that a total of 72% our now eliminated from the contest. There were barely more winning picks (70) than losing (62). Defending champion New Orleans took out 26 contestants while Cincinnati took out 19. Other teams doing damage included San Diego (9), Dallas ???? (7), and Buffalo (1).
October 5, 2010
The default pick of Pittsburgh lost this week and that cost 10 contestants. In addition, Indianapolis took out 5 while Tennessee (2), Philadelphia (2), and Cincinnati (1) contributed to take out a total of 20 contestants this week. That's 8% of the pool and means that 47% of the contestants have been eliminated in the first four weeks.
September 28, 2010
Only three losers in week 3. Houston, Washington, and San Diego took out one each.
September 22, 2010
43 contestants go down in the second week. That's another 17% That means in the first two week we've lost 38% of the field. Dallas (????) took out 23 contestants while Minnesota was responsible for another 13. New England (3), Tennessee (2), Baltimore (1) and St. Louis (1) also led to losses.
September 14, 2010

New Orleans takes out four in the main pool leaving 10 entries remaining. Indianapolis takes out one in the loser's pool leaving 4 entries.
December 21, 2009
The Oakland Raiders once again create havoc with a win over Denver. That win cost 13 contestants in the main pool and another 5 in the loser's pool. Dallas winning over New Orleans also took out one in the loser's pool. The main pool now has 14 contestants left and the loser's pool has 5.
December 14, 2009
One loser in the main pool thanks to Pittsburgh. No losers in the loser's pool.
December 8, 2009
It was Pittsburgh and their fourth loss in a row that did in contestants this week. They knocked out 16 in the main pool and 2 in the loser's pool. That leaves 28 contestants in the main pool and 11 in the loser's pool.
December 1, 2009
Miami (??) knocks out one entry in the main pool. No losers in the loser's pool.

November 18, 2009
Denver takes out one entry in the main pool and two entries in the loser's pool. There was also a New England pick in the main pool that lost. It was the default pick due to a contestant picking a team for a third time.
November 10, 2009
Not a good week to be a cheese head. Green Bay knocks out 12 in the main pool and 3 in the loser's pool.
November 3, 2009
The combination of Arizona and Denver (the default pick) did the damage this week. In the main pool, ten entries had Arizona while three had Denver. In the loser's pool, there were two entries with Arizona and one with Denver.
October 27, 2009
Only three losers in the main pool thanks to the NY Giants. Those same NY Giants took out four entries in the loser's pool.
October 20, 2009
Philadelphia and the NY Jets do most of the damage this week. In the main pool, Philadelphia took out 32 entries, the NY Jets took out 7, and Cincinnati took out 1. That's 15% of the pool and means only 33% of the original contestants are still alive. In the loser's pool, we started with 50 entries and lost 18 (36%) in the first week. Philadelphia (12), the NY Jets (4), Cincinnati (1), and Washington (1) did the damage.
October 13, 2009
Only five losers this week. Baltimore took out three while Buffalo and the NY Jets took out one each. 129 entries still standing.
October 7, 2009
No losers this week. Pretty early in the season to have a perfect week.
September 29, 2009
Only five losers this week. Houston took out three and Pittsburgh got two.
September 22, 2009
It was an unkind week as we lost 119 contestants or 44% of the pool. There were three teams picked in double digits and three of them lost. Green Bay took out the most with 50, while New England had 35 (got to turn in those picks), and Tennessee had 30 (sorry Dad). Jacksonville (3) and Kansas City (1) round out the losers for the week.
September 15, 2009
First week of the new season is complete and we only lost 9 contestants (3.4%). Arizona did most of the damage taking out four entries, Houston took out three while Cincinnati took out two more. We've set a new record for total entries at 267.
February 2, 2009
The three remaining contestants in the Loser's Pool all took Pittsburgh so they split the rest of the pot. Thanks to everyone for participating.
January 19, 2009
I mentioned that the eight remaining contestants in the Loser’s Pool all lost last week with Carolina. Four decided to cash out and four decided to play on. Of those four who played on, three took Pittsburgh and one took Baltimore. That leaves the three Pittsburgh contestants to battle it out in the Super Bowl.
January 14, 2009
Well, we got our first winner. Of the two pools every remaining contestant picked Carolina except for one entry. That was Marilyn Everts in the main pool. She picked Pittsburgh and therefore won the main pool. Congratulations for taking a risk and having it pay off. The loser’s pool all lost so those contestants much choose whether they treat the week as a do over or not.

Indianapolis took out one contestant in the main pool leaving three. Indianapolis took out two in the loser's pool as did Atlanta leaving eight contestants.
December 28, 2008
No losers in the main pool. One in the loser's pool thanks to Tampa Bay. On to the playoffs.
December 23, 2008
It was a tough week to pick as we lost almost half of the remaining entries. In the main pool, the damage was done by Denver (2), Houston (2), the NY Jets, and Philadelphia. In the loser's pool, it was Denver (2), Houston (3), Minnesota (1), the NY Jets (1), Philadelphia (1), and Tampa Bay (1). With one week remaining in the regular season, there are four entries remaining in the main pool (2%) and 13 in the loser's (15%).
December 16, 2008
Lost two entries from both pools. Tennessee and Washington did the damage in the main pool while Tennessee and the NY Giants did the damage in the loser's pool. That leaves 10 entries in the main pool and 22 in the loser's pool.
December 9, 2008
No losers in the main pool. The NY Giants (2), Tampa Bay (1), and Green Bay (1) do the damage to the loser's pool.
December 2, 2008
Buffalo takes out the one contestant in the main pool and another four in the loser's pool. The New York Jets also take out one from the loser's pool. That leaves 12 in the main pool and 28 in the loser's pool.
November 27, 2008
Denver does all of the damage knocking out two in the main pool and 11 (including me) in the loser's pool.
November 18, 2008
Philadelphia does most of the damage this week with their tie game. You have to pick a winner each week. In the main pool, they took out one entry which was the only loser of the week. They took out nine entries in the loser's pool. Atlanta took out two and New England one. That leaves 44 entries remaining in the loser's pool.
November 12, 2008
The main pool loses one entry due to Pittsburgh. That leaves sixteen entries remaining. The loser's pool lost four entries thanks to Pittsburgh (3) and Green Bay (1). That leaves 56 entries.
November 4, 2008

October 28, 2008
One loser in the main pool thanks to Buffalo. Thirteen entries in the loser's pool thanks to Jacksonville (7), Pittsburgh (3), and one each by Buffalo, Houston, and San Francisco. That's 15% of the loser's pool knocked out this week.
October 21, 2008
No losers in the main pool. Only three in the loser's pool. Dallas took out two and the NY Jets took out one. That's 3 out of 85.
October 14, 2008
It was a tough week for the NFC East (but a good week for the Horns). The Cowboys lost a crazy game and Washington and the NY Giants lose to take out another 24 entries (including mine). Washington was responsible for 20 entries and the NY Giants another 4. That represents 9% of the total entries. After six weeks, we have 18 entries remaining. That means we've lost 93% of the contestants.
October 10, 2008
Only one loser thanks to San Diego.
September 30, 2008
Proving once again how hard this contest is, we lost more than half of the remaining entries this week (25% of the total entries). Denver took out 33 while Dallas takes out 30. There was also one Philadelphia pick. This leaves us with 43 entries which means 83% of the entries couldn't pick four in a row.
September 23, 2008
New England had to lose sometime and they will probably fall off the top of the Sagarin rankings. The default pick lost this week and 31 entries went down with it. Carolina and Chicago knocked out one each. That's another 13% of the pool. There are 107 entries still remaining. That means that in the first three weeks 148 (58%) picked a loser.
September 16, 2008
Seattle does the damage this week knocking out 23 contestants. Jacksonville (2), Kansas City (2), and the NY Jets (1) also take down a few. That's 11% of the pool. Quite a few folks didn't make a pick in week 2 but New England pulled through anyway.
September 9, 2008
The New England folks got lucky (me included) but the Indianapolis and San Diego folks were not so lucky. They took out 41 and 35 contestants respectively. Also chipping away at the contestant pool was Cincinnati (2), Detroit (6), Jacksonville (1), Kansas City (1)(?), and Seattle (1). That's 34% of the pool gone in week one. It ain't easy.
January 22, 2008

November 20, 2007
No losers this week.
November 13, 2007
It was the best run I have had in quite some time and it has come to an end. Arizona decides to win their first game against New Orleans and it knocked out most of the remaining entries. 32 contestants had New Orleans, 4 had Indianapolis, and 1 had Washington. That's a total of 37 losers or 17% of all entries. We're down to 14 contestants in the main pool. New Orleans cost 11 contestants to lose while Tennessee and Detroit took out 1 each. That represents 36% of the loser's pool and only 7 contestants remain.
November 6, 2007
After weeks of few losses, we finally had a big week. San Diego (and Adrian Peterson) did the damage. San Diego knocked out 27 contestants (12% of the pool) from the original pool. 51 contestants are still left standing. The loser's pool lost 8 contestants thanks to San Diego (22% of the pool). 20 contestants are left there.

October 8, 2007
Only two losers this week thanks to Green Bay. The Dallas picks can breathe easy.
October 1, 2007
It was a bad week to be ranked in the college football top 25 (way to go Horns) and it was a bad week for the suicide pool. We lost 63 entries or 29% of all entries. So far we have lost 57% of all entries after four weeks. San Diego did the damage in week four taking out 53 entries. Pittsburgh took out 5, Baltimore 3, and the NY Jets and Philadelphia took out one each.
September 25, 2007
I'm finally getting a real update to everyone. I thought I would recap the first three weeks. In week one we lost 24 entries (11% of the pool). Damage was done by Atlanta (1), Kansas City (2), Philadelphia (2), St. Louis (4), and, primarily, Jacksonville (15). In week two we lost another 24 entries (11% of the pool; 22% now gone). Philadelphia again took out an entry (1) while Carolina (2), New Orleans (5), and, primarily, Cincinnati (16) did the rest of the damage. Week 3 was the last week for 13 entries (6% of the pool; 28% now gone). Washington (1), St. Louis (1), Cincinnati (1), New Orleans (3), Denver (3), San Diego (4) were the culprits.
December 22, 2006
Congratulations to Eric Bulman who finally beat out Steve Testa for the championship. New Orleans was the downfall for Testa after he and Eric had both won for three straight weeks in their showdown. Eric finishes with 15 straight winning picks. Nice job!
December 5, 2006
No losers this week as our final two contestants keep winning.
November 27, 2006
No losers this week as our final two contestants keep winning.
November 21, 2006
They call it the Loser's Pool for a reason. It only took six weeks to eliminate all but one contestant. Congratulations to Don Woody who got a great comeback by Kansas City to propel him to victory in the Loser's Pool contest. Philadelphia took our three of his fellow contestants and New Orleans took out the other one. In the main pool, we are down to two contestants. Philadelphia took out everyone else who was still remaining (11 contestants).
November 14, 2006
Over half of the contestants entering the week lost - 17 out of 30 in the main pool and 5 out of 10 in the Loser's Pool. New England did most of the damage taking out 9 and 2, respectively. Jacksonville took out 4 and 3, respectively. Atlanta (3) and Detroit (1) did the rest.
November 7, 2006
Chicago lost their first game of the season and it proved costly for six contestants in the regular pool and one in the Loser's Pool. This leaves 30 contestants remaining in the regular pool and 10 in the Loser's Pool.
October 31, 2006
Pittsburgh and the NY Jets did the damage this week - though the damage was light. We lost four in the big pool (Pittsburgh 3; NY Jets 1) and Pittsburgh took out one in the Loser's Pool.
October 24, 2006
We finally had a big upset week. Most of the sure things were either not playing or had been picked too many times. The big pool lost 68 contestants. That represents 40% of the entire pool. Jacksonville did most of the damage taking out 43 entries. Also contributing were Seattle (15), Philadelphia (7), San Diego (2), and Arizona (1). The Loser's Pool had similar results losing 13 contestants. This represents 45% of the entire pool. Jacksonville again did most of the damage knocking out 8 entries. Arizona (2), Seattle (1), and Philadelphia (2) also contributed to the misery. The big pool has 40 entries remaining and the Loser's Pool has 12.
October 17, 2006
In the regular pool we lost six entries - one thanks to Cincinnati and five thanks to Washington. We also lost four entries in the loser's pool thanks to those same teams (Cincinnati 1; Washington 3).
October 10, 2006
All you Indy people can breathe easier. No losers last week. Second chance pool starts this week. Same entry fee. See the rules above.
October 3, 2006
A relatively quiet week as eight contestants bowed out. Cincinnati did most of the damage taking out four entries, Miami took out three, and Jacksonville one.
September 26, 2006
Worst weekend of the season so far. 26 entries go down this week (including me). The teams causing the damage included Arizona (2), Atlanta (2), Buffalo (4), Detroit (4), and stupid New England (14). All you Miami and Chicago folks should count your lucky stars. I should be proud of myself. Making it to the third week is the best I have done since the 2000 contest when I made it to the fifth week. My personal record is going eleven weeks in 1998.
September 18, 2006
Only three losers this week thanks to Miami.
September 12, 2006
17 entries go down in week one. That's 10% of the total entries. We're almost done. The damage was caused by Tennessee (1), Cleveland (2), Washington (4), Denver (4), and Carolina (6).
January 22, 2006
The
conference championship games knocked out two contestants – one from each
pool. One entry had
For the first time ever, we’ve had two contestants make it to the Super Bowl without a loss. The contest has a tiebreaker procedure but it has never been used. This could be the year. The losers pool also has two contestants in the Super Bowl.
January 16, 2006
I haven't updated in two weeks so time to get caught up. In the first round of the playoffs, there was only one loser - me. Stupid Giants. Last weekend two contestants had Indianapolis who I picked to win it all. We're down to three contestants in both pools with only three games left on the year.
January 2, 2006

December 3, 2005
Lost two in the losers pool thanks to Oakland losing at home to Miami.
November 23, 2005
St. Louis couldn't win at home last week and that cost two entries in the losers pool. Everyone else moved on.
November 14, 2005

October 6, 2005
Lost four players this week thanks to New England (3) and Jacksonville (1).
September 26, 2005
There were no losers this week. Even the few who didn't turn in a pick got a winner with New England.
September 20, 2005
If you had Dallas last night, that had to hurt. We lost another 20 players this past weekend. Dallas took out 8, Green Bay 7, Atlanta 1, Baltimore 1, Detroit 1, New England 1, and San Diego 1.
September 12, 2005
As usual, it was a rough first week. 73 of us are out after one lousy pick. I hate this contest. That's 49% of the entries out. The rest of you should feel lucky. Only 2003 was much worse than this when 71% were knocked out in the first week. Denver took out 6 entries, Carolina 21, San Diego 2, St. Louis 32, Minnesota 14, and Green Bay 1. If you're curious if I rig this contest to my favor, I haven't made it past the second week since 2000. I hate this contest.
August 28, 2005
Going automated this year. We'll see how it goes.
September 7, 2002

November 20, 2001
Everyone lost again! This time the losers have opted for a payout. As such we have a tri-champions. Thanks everyone for participating.
October 28, 2001
We had four contestants opt for an early payout. That may have been the right decision. Of the seven who wanted to continue, four lost for the second week in a row.
October 21, 2001
Everyone lost!!! We'll see how everyone wants to continue.
October 15, 2001

October 9, 2001
One more goes down. Must have thought Philadelphia was playing Dallas again.
September 30, 2001
The field gets cut in almost in half as New England pulls the big upset and Cleveland wins one on the road.
September 25, 2001
Two more entries out. Twenty-one left. Thanks for playing Steve.
September 10, 2001
Haven't even finished the first week and almost half the pool is out. You would think if A&M can squeak out a win over McNeese St. that Minnesota could find a way to win.
