Back to Fantasy Football

12/31/23

Sparky’s Oiler first appeared on the standing in 1996. They won their division that year but lost in the first round of the playoffs (fun fact – 308 won it all that year). They’ve made the playoffs a total of 8 times but had never won a championship until this year. They had the best record in the regular season only losing 2 games. They easily won the divisional championship game over Pierre Delecto (173 to 121) before facing two time defending North champion It’s the Pleats. Thanks to a lot of Christmas night fantasy points, they were able to defeat It’s the Pleats 146 to 133. In other action, Pierre Delecto took the consolation game over Take a Hike (201-136). Hoosier Daddy and Cleveland Steamers split the two wild card loser games. In the Toilet Bowl, there were three different high team winners and three different low team winners. Here is the list:

Thanks again everyone for participating. This was by far my worst year for updates. Too many distractions this football season.

11/28/23

There were some high scoring games and some close games this week. One of those was won by the highest scoring team of the week – Hoosier Daddy. They scored 209 points and defeated Teen Spirit who scored the third most points of the week. This was Hoosier Daddy’s second high team honor and third weekly prize overall. High position went to Sparky’s Oilers who scored 108 points with the receivers crew of D.J. Moore (22), Deebo Samuel (21), CeeDee Lamb (20), Nico Collins (26) and TE T.J. Hockenson (19). I had to do a double check but this makes Sparky’s Oilers 6th weekly prize (second position). That has to be a record for Sparky’s Oilers! There’s one week left in the regular season and a few teams still have playoff hopes. In the North, It’s the Pleats has wrapped up the division championship. Take a Hike and Cleveland Steamers have a one game lead over Who Dat!! Sean Who?? and 308. Hard to believe those last two teams still have a shot and they play each other this week. In the South, Sparky’s Oilers (what??) have a one game lead over Pierre Delecto and both have playoff spots clinched. CowHorn LongBoys and Hoosier Daddy are tied for third. The Pick ‘em contest is also in the last week. # YESSIR has a two game lead over Cleveland Steamers.

 9/20/23

We had a tie for top team honors as Bevo’s Revenge and Sparky’s Oilers both scored 190 points. Every team went over the 100 point mark this week. 308 and Teen Spirit had high RB totals but Teen Spirit took the high position honors scoring 72 points with RBs Raheem Mostert (34), Joe Mixon (12), Alexander Mattison (6), and Bijan Robinson (20 and Hook ‘em). We’re halfway to parity as there are two team in each division undefeated and two teams in each division without a win.

9/16/23

Somehow both teams with Joe Burrow on their roster won. 308 starts Higgins and it cost us the game. Not that 308 deserved to win as one of two teams to not score 100 points (Who Dat!! Sean Who??). It’s the Pleats rode the Dallas Cowboys to the high team honors scoring 175 points. They also rode the Cowboys (who scored 44 points) along with QB Justin Herbert (22) and K Daniel Carlson (5) to take high position honors. Looks like the year of the Longhorns and Cowboys. What could go wrong?
