Bevo’s Revenge barely made the playoffs needing a final
week win and a loss by Take a Hike to get into a three-way tie which they took
the last spot based on the tiebreaker. They then barely made it out of the first
round beating the Wonderlickers by 3 points. In the finals, they caught Hoosier
Daddy on one of their down weeks and easily won the championship by a score of
176 to 138. The QB position was the downfall for Hoosier Daddy only getting 4
points from Jalen Hurts. This is the second championship in the last three years
and their fourth overall. That puts them in first place all-time in
championships. In the consolation game, Cleveland Steamers defeated WAP 210 to
144. In the second wild card losers matchup, Coast won for the second time over
the Wonderlickers 195 to 126. In the Toilet Bowl, Teen Spirit took high team
honors with 213 points while Take a Hike took low team honors for the second
week in a row scoring a total of 145 points. Another item of note. Every team
won at least one prize in either the regular season or playoffs except for one
team – 308. That’s what I get for being radio silent most of the season.
Congratulations to Bevo’s Revenge and all the other
winners. Have a great holiday season.

The playoff teams showed why they made the playoffs with
high scoring even though the games weren’t very close. WAP went from scoring 204
points in the first round to a season low 87 points in the semifinals. Hoosier
Daddy didn’t let off the gas scoring 217 points for one of the biggest blowouts
ever. The other semifinal was much more competitive but Bevo’s Revenge scored a
league high 235 points to defeat Cleveland Steamers (190 points). Even in the
consolation game, Coast scored 223 points and beat the Wonderlickers (105
points). CowHorn LongBoys took high team honors in the toilet bowl with 174
points while Take a Hike had low team honors with a total score of 130 points.
Good luck to Hoosier Daddy and Bevo’s Revenge in the finals.
12/11/24
One playoff game was really close and the other was a
blow out. In the close game, Bevo’s Revenge defeated the Wonderlickers by only 3
points – 184 to 181. The Wonderlickers had a huge lead going into Monday night
but Ja’Marr Chase went off for 50 points to give Bevo’s the win. In the other
playoff game, WAP scored the most points of any team in the league to easily
defeat Cost 204 to 153. The semifinals are set as WAP will take on South
division champion Hoosier Daddy and Bevo’s Revenge takes on North division
champion Cleveland Steamers. In the Toilet Bowl, the high team honors went to
the Penetrators who scored a total of 190 points. That was 3 points better than
It’s the Pleats. Low Team was a blowout (of sorts). Sparky’s Oilers was waiting
all season for this week. They had 8 players on bye week and another on injured
reserve. The remaining 6 players could only muster up 79 total points. I didn’t
even try to see who was next worst as every teams’ starters scored more than
that.
12/3/24
I’m a little late on sending out
updates. About 13 weeks to be exact. Sorry that I didn’t send out any commentary
on what was a really close and exciting season. You had Cleveland Steamers take
the North with a 9-4 record but the next six teams were within one game. Of
course, Who Dat! will score a season best on the last week to take out 308 by 4
points. Bevo’s Revenge secured a playoff spot thanks to Monday night and
Denver’s defense scoring 20 points behind two pick sixes (the last in the last
two minutes of the game).
The
Wonderlickers took the other playoff spot leaving Take a Hike the odd man out as
three teams tied for second at 7-6. The South didn’t have drama about who would
make the playoffs as three teams tied at 9-4. Hoosier Daddy won the tiebreaker
and was declared the winner of the South. Coast and WAP also made the playoffs.
Pierre Delecto has the distinction for fewest wins with only 2 for the season.
They did win half of a weekly prize which is better than 308 can say. 308 was
shut out of any weekly or end of season prizes along with Sparky’s Oilers.
Cleveland Steamers also won the NFL Picks contest easily besting second place #
YESSIR by 9 wins.
The website is updated with all of the weekly winners and
the receivables are updated through the end of the regular season and include
fees for roster moves. Please review and let me know if you have any questions
or think you see an error.
It’s time for the playoffs and the Toilet Bowl where 308
can really shine.
